This page is where when any Clans have a battle, they can fight it out here. The point of this page is so that the Clans don't have to fight all on one Clan's blog, but can both fight on a separate one that is considered neutral territory.
Bloodstreak has plunged RainClan and HiddenClan into a fatal battle that has left many warriors dead or wounded. StarClan "solved" the problem, but the question as to whether or not it was honorable is unanswered.
Where is the battle?
ReplyDelete(Its over here)
ReplyDeleteFernstar called, "Let the Gathering begin!"
ReplyDeleteShe looked at Willowstar cocked her head, indicating that she report first.
She saw Willowstar's piercing gaze, then whipped her head down to see HiddenClan. They stared maliciously up like tethered dogs that watched their prey hungrily.
"What's going on?"
She heard some of her warriors mumble. Fernstar's eyes narrowed. "What is this about, Willowstar?" She growled lowly.
Not enough ppl...
ReplyDeleteThere'll be enough people, we just need them to keep posting.
ReplyDeleteWillowstar cocked her head in a seemingly innocent way at Fernstar, before saying calmly, "Explain to me why one of your warriors have killed Icefrost and Jetstream of HiddenClan,"
ReplyDeleteFlicker growled lowly. This "HiddenClan" was asking for trouble. They were growling and hissing at RainClan, acting superior.
ReplyDeleteEven if I didn't spend most of my life in RainClan, it's my birth home, and I'm going to make sure no sure no one this arrogant ever lives there. She thought angrily.
The HiddenClan she cat next to her seemed to be a ghost; her pelt flickered and was slightly opaque. She was clawing the ground and murmuring curses towards HiddenClan.
"Don't talk about RainClan like that!" Spat Flicker, who turned her attention to her, fur bristling.
"Don't talk to ME like that, you filthy murderer! You and all of your kind deserve to die slowly!" The she cat snarled back.
A hush settled over the cats, and Flicker felt a cold feeling of satisfaction rise in her. She was already tasting the satisfaction of ripping the ghostly pelt of this cat.
Flicker's fur raised and her claws unsheathed. "What did you just say to me?"
"It's a Gathering, we can't fight!" Someone whispered.
"You heard me," the she cat replied.
Willowstar watched with cold contempt, not even stepping in to stop Mistheart from arguing with the RainClan she-cat. The bloodlust within her had been reawakened, and nothing would stop it.
ReplyDelete"RainClan haven't even denied that they killed Icefrost and Jetstream," Mosswhisker whispered somewhere near Willowstar.
"How could you?" Flowerpool yowled in grief at RainClan. "They were high and noble cats of a great lineage! How could you kill them like that?"
Ignoring the two arguing cats below, Fernstar said in a ice cold hiss,
ReplyDelete"Are you accusing my Clan of murder of innocent warriors?"
"I am," Came the reply.
"RainClan is a Clan of honorable, honest warriors, none of which would do such a thing. Unlike HiddenClan, who seems to think it's honorable to falsely accuse another Clan of their own warrior's deaths." Fernstar threw all of her disgust and detest into those words, repulsed by the thoguht of any of her warriors doing such a thing.
"Maybe you should put your own Clan in line before blaming others, and see if any of them is responsible."
(Me and wolf have to go to archery practice for an hour but we'll be back)
ReplyDeleteTwilight looked around. She was so worried about Midnight, she wasn't really paying attention to what was going on.
ReplyDeleteTwilight
Dragonwing listened to what the leaders were saying. 'Fernstar's wrong.' She thought. Maybe she was partly trying to convince herself, but she wouldn't look at her own clan mates and murders.
I looked around. I've never been to this place before, and yet we were going to have a battle here. Every cold remark gnawed at me, making me hiss and unsheathe my claws. I had to use all of my will power not to attack cats from the other clans. Don't do it... Wait for Willowstar's say so... Don't...
ReplyDeleteSome cats were worried that they might be killed. Like Firefeather, she was a bit afraid but she is still strong-willed. She acted like she was not afraid and kept on saying to herself that everything would be alright. Darfang saw Firefeather and came up to her.
ReplyDelete"How do you feel about the battle, Firefeather?" Asked Darkfang.
"I feel a bit scared, but I'm sure that everything will be alright. (I hope...)" Answered Firefeather.
Mistheart hissed at the black and white she cat who spat, "You're about to pay for it!"
ReplyDeleteMistheart bared her teeth in reply. She crouched down, ready to fight.
---
Flicker lunged at ghost warrior, knocking her to the ground. She disappeared beneath Flicker's paws, appearing behind her. Flicker pretended to be stunned, and waited for her to lunge. The moment the ghost's paws hit her back, Flicker ducked her head and lowered her shoulders, flipping the warrior onto the ground. Flicker pinned her again and ruthlessly shredded at her stomach.
Moonflame wandered around the battle area. He was also worried that he would be killed. His heart was beating very fast.
ReplyDelete(Moonflame thinking)
Alright, Moonflame, stay calm. I won't die, none of our warriors will die, NO ONE will die... I'm sure about that.
Moonflame went towards some of Rainclan's warriors and hissed at them.
"You shall feel the WRATH of our clan, you monsters!" Hissed Moonflame.
"As if we will," Replied one of Rainclan's warriors.
Willowstar steadily stepped closer to Fernstar, unsheathing her claws so that in the moonlight, they glinted bone-white. The claws from her cream-colored paw, however, gleamed silver and sharper than the rest.
ReplyDelete"Your Clan has killed two of HiddenClan's best warriors," Willowstar hissed, her false calm shattering. She unsheathed her claws fully and leaped at Fernstar, snarling aloud, "For that, RainClan shall pay! HiddenClan, attack!"
Firefeather started fighting with the Rainclan's warriors. She got scratched in the tail and everything started becoming violent.
ReplyDelete"We must go on! For the sake of Hiddenclan!" Yelled Watermist.
Everybody were lunging at eachother, and scratching eachother. Firefeather kept fighting. She is an average fighter but an excellent hunter. She believed in Hiddenclan, and was sure that none of her important ones will be killed. Watermist, on the other hand, got many scratches, but she is used to them. She kept on fighting until her last breath. Rainclan and Hiddenclan warriors were fightting so much that blood was spreading through out the battlefield...
''Hmm...'' I replied to Firefeather.
ReplyDelete''Yes. How about you?''
A sneer crossed my face. ''Fantastic.'' I hissed. Firefeather backed away a few steps. ''Oh yeah, better watch that cat behind you.'' I mewed casually. She looked behind, then quickly sprang away. ''I'll leave that one to you!'' She called. ''Sure.'' I replied. The Rainclan cat slowly approached me. ''I don't recall seeing you at any of the other gatherings. Are you new?'' He hissed. ''For a newbie, you seem quite calm.''
''Taunting will get you no further.'' I answered curtly before launching myself at him. He dodged quickly to the side. ''Not bad.'' I said. ''But not good enough.'' I spun around and extended my paw, claws out, even though we were meters apart. The other cat just sneered. ''And what's that-'' He was cut of as two ghostly black paws slammed him against the tree. I let him fall limp to the ground, unconscious. ''One down.'' I felt like laughing out loud. Blood stained my paws. My eyes were ablaze. My powers were returning. And with it, my bloodlust.
Stormbreeze leaped up on the unsuspecting Darkfang. He was glad he had trained intensely as a warrior; he was now a warrior at both healing and hurting. He landed on the toms back, and shoved his face onto the ground. He grabbed his head in his jaws, careful not to kill him, but clamped down around his eyes.
ReplyDelete--
Sunstreak saw what was happening to Fernstar and shoved her way to the top. Grabbing Willowstar's scruff, she jerked her off of her leader.
"Stay away from her."
--
(Er... Wolf... I'M A SHE-CAT!!!)
ReplyDeleteSomething landed heavily on my back. Crap. I wasn't paying attention! The tom pinned me down and snapped around my eyes. I kicked him off slightly, just enough so he couldn't hit any vitals. I scrambled out from under him. ''Nkh...'' I was panting. A tiny trickle of blood ran down my face. 'I shouldn't let my guard down like that.' I thought. The tom that had just attacked me drew back. ''Nice try. I'm not that easy to kill.'' He hissed at me. I sneered. ''Seems that way.''
I threw my head back and yowled at the dark night sky. Clouds began getting denser, and sparks of light could be seen from within them. Thunder roared, and rain began pouring down. Lightning flashed. I stood firm as the tree right beside me went up in flames. Controlling the weather may tire me, but nevertheless, it was something that couldn't be helped. At least my vast amount of energy can help me with that. The tom stared at me shocked. ''But how...''
''Because I am darkness itself.''
Lightning sparked from my pelt. Every cat had turned in my direction now. The tom seemed to hesitate, then launched himself at me. Bad choice. A streak of lightning flashed and snaked it's way towards, so fast that he had no time to dodge. This time, he for sure was knocked unconscious. I coughed. Time was taking it's toll on me. I can't go on using my powers for much longer.
(Sorry Darkfang you're a she cat, not a tom, i didnt realize that.)
ReplyDeleteStormbreeze saw StarClan. "What happened he asked?"
Shocked he saw Reedstar standing before him. Her eyes were black; he backed away. He'd only seen her like this one other time- when she tried to kill Bloodpaw for stealing her kits. She was like this when she was blood hungry.
"Your Clan needs you, Stormbreeze. She may have the powers of the storm, but you yourself were named after the storm we found you as a kit in. You WILL withstand it. Fawndash saw the power in you when she took you in. You are going to defend your Clan when others can't. Do you understand?"
He nodded, mind whirring. He wasn't Clanborn? They found him in the midst of a storm? How?
"Now go." Reedstar said, her voice deathly quiet. Stormbreeze awoke, and stood. His anger with this HiddenClan cat was worse than his most spiteful moment of his life.
"You threaten my Clan. You wound my warriors. You're going to pay." His voice didn't sound like his; it was the voice of Reedstar.
--
Flicker ripped through Mistheart's stomach. Mistheart flailed to get away, but her disappearing act was taking up too much energy. Her aura dulled as Flciker dug in deeper. To her relief, someone leaped on top of Flicker, and she was able to scramble away.
---
Flicker bucked the she cat off her back, and waited for her next move.
---
(Fernstar can't be here but we're txting and she told me to play her characters until she can get on)
Lingersong rushed to Fernstar's aid. The she cat was stunned, but snapped out of it. "RainClan, full force!" The leader snarled.
Lingersong wasn't sure it made a difference, because everyone was scattered and fighting their own fights.
Before Lingersong could stop her, Fernstar pounced into battle next to her mate Splashwave. Lingersong felt overwhelmed; waves of cats rose around her, blood splashing and claws stabbing. She ran to the edge of the fight, scanning the crowd frantically for Stormbreeze or Flicker.
Lingersong screeched as a HiddenClan warrior pinned her to ground from behind.
---
Stormshadow slashed a warrior's face, then kicked them away. "For Reedstar," he growled. He hoped she was watching; he wasn't sure if he was trying to prove himself to her or prove to her that he could survive without her.
The built tom whipped around, looking for another victim.
(S'okay)
ReplyDeleteThe clouds began fading away. I called back my powers to conserve energy. I snaked through the mess of cats, clawing any pelt that didn't smell like Hiddenclan. Slowly, but surely, the bloodlust returned. And I found my claws once again stained with red.
''Rainclan, full force!'' Came the yowl.
That couldn't be good.
Pelts surged around me, cats fighting for their lives. It became very hard to aim. Every once in a while, A cat would drop to ground then pick themselves back up to continue fighting. Blood. So much blood. As red as my eyes. My pelt was splattered with it. And yet I didn't care. All I cared about right now is the joy of feeling a cat fall limp between my claws. The joy of battle. Dodge. Slash. Kick. My mind was a whirl of it all. Hysterical laughter escaped me. Yes! Kill! Kill them all!
---
(This is DarkFang's true thoughts)
What's happening? Why am I laughing? It's not like me to get carried away like this. But it feels so great... The blood soaking through my pelt... My claws sinking into flesh... No. Stop. Don't...
''STOP!!!''
Willowstar suddenly barreled into me, knocking me away from the cat I was fighting. ''Get a hold of yourself! Only hurt the enemy!'' I blinked and looked over at the cat that had just scrambled away. There was Hiddenclan scent. ''Um.. Sorry...'' I murmured. ''I know it's hard, but try your best to control yourself.'' Willowstar looked at me. I saw the same mad glint in her eyes that I had. ''I'll try.''
Stormbreeze barreled over Darkfang while she was destracted. His aim was to kill this cat. She would pay, and he would be the one to bring the hurting on her. His vision was tainted red, and he knew that if he kept up he'd become blood blind, but he didn't care.
ReplyDeleteHe brought his claws down across her face and neck, and let his claws tear through her skin.
"Stay away from my Clan!" He hissed in her ear and then slashed over her stomach, gouging into blood that oozed. He snarled savagely, totally disregarding both the medicine code and the warrior code.
He felt a pair of jaws drag him away; it was Stormshadow.
"She's had enough," He growled. "Fight someone else until you can get a grip on yourself."
Stormbreeze stood, flanks heaving. What had come over him?
He moved through the crowd, disturbed by how ruthless he had felt. He looked up and saw Lingersong pinned down.
"No!" He shouted, trying to get through to her.
(Oh btw dude don't take any of this personally. I just like a good battle story :) )
ReplyDelete(Meh, It's cool. I like battle scenes too. ;P)
ReplyDeleteDang. Dang it. DANG IT! I picked myself up from the ground. I only had time to weave a simple shield around me before the tom nearly killed me. I'm out of practice. I can't do anything like this. Panting, I stood wobbly. Get a grip on yourself! You can't die! Not when you still know so little about your past! I thought frantically. I weaved layers of careful energy around me, healing my most severe wounds. This should suffice for now, I thought. I backed away into the shadows. They gave me energy. What was I thinking? Head on fighting against so many isn't a good idea! I'm a tactician! The shadows warped around me, snaking towards the fray. They latched themselves onto the nearest cat, rendering them immobile. This created an opening for attacks. That's right. Pick them off one by one. Don't overdo it.
---
Images flashed through my mind. I'm surrounded by figures I can't make out. Familiar scents. Voices. One is brighter than the rest. ''Prepare for battle. Relictribe will attack soon.'' It said softly. Soon, my vision went red. I was floating above a battlefield. Howls split the air. A desperate voice called out amongst all the noise. One figure seemed to be losing a fight. Two bigger ones pinned him down, snapping at it's throat... ''IceClaw!'' And then... ''NO!''
---
I blinked. What had I just seen? Why was there howling? Cat's don't howl! What's happening to me? Why am I shaking? What's this feeling? I don't know what to do anymore. Water sloshed at my feet. I was leaking energy. Taking a shaky breath, I focused on the task at hand.
Twilight didn't notice the battle had started, until somenone smached a claw across her face that is. She fell into the ground. Jumping back up, she looked around, but she didn't know who had attacked her.
ReplyDeleteWillowstar let out a savage snarl at Sunstreak, before pouncing on the RainClan warrior and sinking her jaws as deep as possible into her flank until her teeth scraped bone. As the RainClan warrior screeched and jumped back, Willowstar released her choke hold, before slashing her claws across Sunstreak's ears and letting her go.
ReplyDeleteWillowstar whipped around with another growl, but she was cut off when another RainClan warrior leaped on her from behind, slashing his claws across Willowstar's eyes. The HiddenClan leader let out a pained yowl as searing pain cut through her right eye, and with her own blood running down her face and staining her white muzzle red, she scrabbled at the ground in a last ditch attempt before kicking out with her front paws, effectively launching her backwards through the air to land with her back pressed against the RainClan warrior's face, pressing his muzzle against the ground. Now with the advantage, Willowstar flipped over and sunk her claws as deep as she dared into his scruff, before letting him go, as well.
Willowstar had barely managed to get to her paws before she was knocked over again, forcing her to emit a very un-leader-like yelp as she struggled to roll over, to see who her attacker was.
Her senses were nearly rattled out of her when her attacker smashed her head against a tree root. All her thoughts jumbled together and finally disintegrated as she stared into two piercing eyes. A very familiar voice she couldn't place hissed menacingly into her ear. Even trapped, Willowstar managed to claw at the attacker's nose. Whoever the attacker was, they didn't smell like RainClan or HiddenClan, nay, indeed not like any Clan.
Flicker stared down at Willowstar defiantly. Her flickering eye colors penetrated the HiddenClan leader, and she hissed, "Stay away from RainClan."
ReplyDelete"Who are you?!"
"I'm not from a Clan that you would know of, but I am going to defend an innocent one!" Pinning Willowstar with her fore paws, and using her hind legs to snap the Leader's the wrong way, she thought of her training with the most feared cat in the forest.
"Call back your warriors," She hissed.
Moonbeam barged head on into the battle, knocking over the attacker of Willowstar. It was her first battle, and she wouldn't try losing the first of it. She didn't recognize much of the cat that was attacking Willowstar, but it certainly didn't smell like RainClan. Moonbeam wrinkled her nose in disgust. Who was this cat? It didn't seem very familiar to her, but a hazy image was growing in her mind. Willowstar seemed to notice who her attacker was, but Moonbeam didn't have as much as a clue. Who was this cat?
ReplyDeleteFlicker took advantage of her fall, and rolled, landing perfectly on her paws. Without hesitating she leaped on top of the white she cat, claws extended. Right before she struck, a sudden cold chilled her. She turned her head, and saw a HiddenClan warrior at the throat of her sister, Lingersong.
ReplyDeleteIn a heartbeat Flicker left the she cat in the dust, racing to save her sister from the claws of the warrior.
---
Stormbreeze crept behind the orange HiddenClan warrior; he's slashed her then disappeared into the crowd, only to circle back and attack from behind.
Tensing his muscles to prepare to spring, in a split second he looked past her head, to see a HiddenClan tom snap the neck of Waveripple.
"No!" Shouted Stormbreeze. He leaped over the unsuspecting orange she cat, and darted to the scene of the death. Apparently most of RainClan had seen it, because that moment, Stormshadow, Rushingwater, and Ashfall appeared at the same spot.
"This has gone too far, and there's no stopping it!" Shouted Stormshadow. "We have to protect RainClan, and if it means death to HiddenClan, then so be it!"
The four toms split into two groups and started team bearing down on the nearest HiddenClan warriors.
---
Rushingwater batted a cat out of the way, recognizing who it was. A thorn of guilt pierced the back of his mind; these enemies of his were once his Clanmates, and he had been their family and friend. Now there was no choice but to kill anyone who threatened his new family, because he couldn't risk losing them again.
Dragonwing saw Stormbreeze coming. Or rather she saw a cat running towards her and knew it was Riverclan from the scent. She wasn't sure if he was going after her or a different Hiddenclan wariror, but either way she was going to stop him. She pounced on him, digging her claws into his sides and grabbing at his ear to limit his movement.
ReplyDeleteStormbreeze rolled sideways, crushing her beneath him. He bit into her paw hard, getting as far through the muscle as he could. His ear tore, making him wince, but his partner Stormshadow dragged Dragonwing from beneath Stormbreeze by th scruff, thrashing her around.
ReplyDelete---
Flicker crept behind the warrior who was about to kill Lingersong. Last minute, she pounced perfectly onto the clack cat, and dug her fangs into his throat.
Warm blood oozed out of his neck, pooling in her mouth. This was her comfort zone- there wasn't satisfaction for killing, but there was a satisfaction in getting a job done right.
The warrior dropped to the ground- not dead, but would probably bleed slowly to death- right next to a shivering Lingersong.
---
Ashfall circled Moonbeam, baring his teeth. Rushingwater was a tail length away, fighting another cat, but there for backup if needed. This she cat had an interesting pelt- it was white with a blue hue, thouugh stained by patches of blood here and there.
Ashfall shook his head to snap out of it- he couldn't be distracted.
---
Two black cats- brothers- slipped into the battlefield. One of them was seemingly invincible, the other also highly skilled. Without anyone's notice they flitted into the battle; they were soon to be noticed.
While Ashfall was distracted, Moonbeam discreetly slashed at his back, tearing it up. He yowled in pain and turned around to look for his attacker, but Moonbeam was already gone, having run off to hide somewhere. Ashfall would need to find someone else to pick on for a fight.
DeleteDragonwing felt her head wirl. She kicked at Stormshadow, realizing from touch she'd reached his face, she dragged her claws up, trying to get to his eyes.
ReplyDeleteFor a moment she was worried Stormbreeze would come back into battle, Dragonwing wasn't sure she could fight two cats at once. But Griffinclaw came charging in, ready to fight Stormbreeze. 'Griffinclaw's a good fighter.' she thought. 'He'll manage.'
Firefeather was still fighting and realized she was just about to get scratched on her weakest spot (her back). But Watermist came in and scratched the cat back on it's stomach. (Watermist is me!)
ReplyDelete"Oh, goodness! Thank you, Watermist!" Thanked Firefeather.
"Your welcome." Replied Watermist. "We must help out the other cats. Let's go."
"Yes, we should." Said Firefeather. "We can't let anyone kill our clan members."
Willowstar hissed as three RainClan cats circled in on her, now infuriated by the deaths of RainClan. Now the battlefield was littered with cold, unmoving bodies of both RainClan and HiddenClan.
ReplyDeleteOne of the RainClan warriors, a muscular gray tom, advanced on her with a snarl. For a second Willowstar's feet faltered and she nearly fancied that Stonestep, her dead mate, was bristling in front of her, but she shoved the blurry images out of her mind. She drifted back to the days in which she had been an apprentice, taught by her mentor, and with a burst of sudden energy, she balanced her weight on only her two front paws as she lashed out with her back paws, the claws tearing into the fur of the gray RainCLan warrior. She rose onto her back paws, careful to tuck her tail between her legs in case one of the cats tried to unbalance her, she lashed out another one of the RainClan cats; the same, un-Clan-like she-cat she had fought earlier. The third RainClan cat was sent retreating back, snarling over his shoulder, and now Willowstar was faced with only the two other cats.
(Wolfstar? You care to do the honors of advancing to the battle climax? *wink wink* ;) )
(Are we going to stick with our plan of the extension and do it towards the end, or now and then keep the fight going?)
ReplyDeleteStormbreeze bowled into Griffinclaw, hoping to prevent him from helping his Clan mate. Before he could do anything though, a black streak whizzed between them, slashing at their eyes.
Stormbreeze cried out in pain; though the claws hadn’t gone directly through his eyes, they had gotten right above and under the eye socket. Blood oozed over his vision, and he tried to see who had done that. His eyesight was ruined though- red blurred everything and he knew that if his opponent suffered the same injuries, both of them would become blood blinded. Instead he relied on his scent, and hissed with disdain. He recognized it vaguely, but couldn't figure out what it was.
--
Rushingwater scented something different- the smell of ash and smoke. Was there a fire? No, it couldn’t be, because a light drizzle had started to rain down on the Gathering Place. It was welcome though; the time he’d spent in RainClan, they’d taught him how to fight accurately and consistently with a coat that was heavy and weighted down with water. Rushingwater looked for the source of the smell, but it was gone.
He hissed when he was suddenly knocked over by another cat. She pinned him to the ground, but he kicked her off with his hind legs and lunged. She rolled sideways, narrowly escaping. Rushingwater was significally stronger and bigger than her, and he didn’t want to hurt a young warrior.
Mistheart rolled sideways, landing on her paws, and then once again pounced on the tom. She recognized him- he had once been a warrior of HiddenClan. She landed on his back, and dug her claws into his sides. He rolled onto his back, crushing her and then got up. Mistheart snarled and leaped up again- she wasn’t giving up. Glancing back, she summoned her brother Ghostspirit with the flick of her tail. He appeared in an instant, and together they encountered the tom.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” He warned, and she smirked.
“Who do you think we are?” Ghostspirit hissed, and he lunged. The tom dodged with surprising accuracy, but Mistheart was already there, slashing forward. In an instant, the tom leaned into the slash and grabbed her throat in his massive jaws.
Mistheart fell limped, stunned.
“No!” Shouted Ghostspirit, but it was distant. She felt blood rise like bile in the back of her throat, and dribble out of her mouth and neck.
“No,” She whispered, feeling her tail and legs dissipate, then her abdomen and forepaws. Lastly neck and head disappeared into dust.
---
Flicker pretended to be beaten, and cowered on the ground a few feet from Willowstar, who padded over. The gray she cat lifted onto her hind paws, about to slash down on Flicker.
The black and white she cat looked skyward, grinning as she saw what she was looking for.
In the heartbeat Willowstar nearly dropped on her, Flicker pushed her front paws to ground, used them to spin around, and her hind legs swept underneath the HiddenClan leaders to hind legs. Flicker darted out of the way in an instant.
---
Sunstreak leaped down off of the tree branch on which she'd been prowling when she saw her cue. She extended her claws, then landed directly on top of the fallen Willowstar. There was a thump, and Sunstreak heard the breath knocked out of her rival.
My energy was depleted. I can't do anything big right now... I carefully ventured back into the fray, making sure to control myself first. Two cats tried to strike at me. I jumped back and hissed, hackles rising. One darted for my flank. I knocked him aside, tearing at his exposed stomach. He went limp. I tossed him aside and looked around for the other one. Mist had begun encircling the battlefield. Perfect. I'm great at fighting in bad weather. I darted around, being clumsy on purpose. Finally, the cat decided to jump me from behind. Very predictable. I whirled around and slashed his face, sending him running. 'Let them flee', I thought.
ReplyDeleteJust as a side note, the cat that attacked first IS NOT DEAD.
ReplyDelete(Both, really. :P Our little 'surprise' event should start now, though, but the battle should keep going.)
ReplyDeleteWillowstar let out a hiss as she felt her own energy being sapped out of her, but then she felt her legs buckle beneath her when a heavy weight smashed down on her. She heard, rather than felt, one of her back claws tear out, but there was no pain. Nearly confused, Willowstar clawed savagely at the RainClan warrior who had landed on her, before she rolled onto her back. What in StarClan's name was happening? She couldn't even feel her back legs, nor move them. She lashed with her front claws instead, and sank her teeth into Sunstreak's shoulder.
A cat hissed nearby. HiddenClan scent wafted through the air. 'Oh no.' I thought. I rushed to where it was strongest. Willowstar was attempting to fight two warriors at once. I launched myself at one of them, knocking her off. That's when i noticed something odd. "Willowstar, why are your hind legs...?''
ReplyDeleteThe black tom crashed through a huge warrior, of what Clan, it didn't matter. A dark gray HiddenClan cat, Darkflame, rushed to save his Clanmate, but the tom thrust out his claws, right in the path of the skidding warrior. A shriek echoed through the hollow as the black cat's claws tore the skin on Darkflame's face, gouging out his eyes.
ReplyDelete"Darkflame!" Cried Grayflower in a sob. She rushed to her mate, who was crouched on the ground.
Bloodstreak towered above them, laughing. Grayflower stared up at him, wide eyed. Though he couldn't see, Darkflame could sense his own fate. "Take care of our kits," He whispered, pressing his nose to his mate's extended belly.
"How sweet," Growled the dark tom, before tearing out his throat and motioning to his brother. Another tom pounced upon Grayflower, and sunk his fangs into her throat, then went to find another victim.
Bloodstreak laughed cruelly, and leaped upon High Rock. “Cats of both Clans,” He shouted, “You are all fools! RainClan didn’t kill you warriors.” An evil grin danced across his face as he continued, “You destroy yourselves because you’re too stupid to understand what’s really going on, and your warrior’s lives are the price you pay for it."
The fight intensified by twenty fold as the cats were plunged into complete and utter chaos, escaping, killing, scrambling.
Willowstar stared, gaping open-mouthed, at the small black cat on the Highrock. Bloodpaw he was no more, but Bloodstreak. With an infuriated roar that rose above the din of the fighting cats, "You traitor!"
ReplyDeleteBloodstreak just smiled, a cruel smile with all his sharp, bloodstained teeth showing.
Willowstar yowled, trying to get her Clan under control. She struggled to get up, but could only balance on her front paws. It reminded her briefly of the disaster of the tornado, and its devastating aftermath, when she had broken her hind legs, only that now, there was no pain, only a numb feeling that was worse than agony. Her spine must've somehow been damaged in a way.
"HiddenClan! Rally to me! TO ME!" she screeched, but only a few warriors managed to keep control. The whole clearing had plunged into madness, as Clanmate fought both friend and foe alike, others ran wailing from the open, and other cats crawling under the shade of the bloodstained trees' roots to die. Willowstar snarled at Bloodstreak.
"As long as I draw breath, we will not be defeated, and if I have to die nine times over in order to stop you, I will!"
RainClan didn't kill your warriors!
ReplyDeleteThat sent my blood boiling all over again. I hate being deceived. I'M the one who usually deceives OTHERS. Who is this cat? I hate him already. Kill him, my instincts shouted. KILL HIM. But I held back. ''Who are you!?'' I yowled at him. He turned his cold gaze to me. ''I do not have to answer.'' That was all he said. I couldn't hold back anymore. I launched myself at him. ''DarkFang! Don't!'' I heard Willowstar yowl. But I didn't care. Nothing matters anymore but killing this cat.
Dragonwing heard Willowstar's rally cry. She looked at her leaders legs in concern, but now wasn't the time to worry about that. Bloodstreak was standing on Highrock. "Stop!" She cried desperatly, trying to get Hiddenclan's attention. "It's a set up!"
ReplyDeleteBut even as she cried, it occured to her that unless Rainclan stopped, Hiddenclan warriors had no choice but to keep fighting.
"Then die 9 times you will," He replied in a sneer.
ReplyDeleteHe knocked Darkfang away easily, more concerned with something else.
He scanned the clearing- there they were.
He leaped down and slipped in front of Sunstreak, whom he'd kidnapped as an apprentice.
She backed up slowly, chocked that she would ever see him again. Bloodstreak noticed a sharp fallen tree branch from the tree she was backing into. His eyes lowered to it, then followed to Sunstreak. She turned to run, but to fast, he pounced and she collapsed beneath him.
"I'm going to make this nice and slow," He whispered in her ear, pressing his claws slowly into her temples. She trembled as he ripped his claws out, and she then staggered a foot or so. She stood still for nearly a minute, eyes getting foggy and muscles weak.
He picked up the sharp branch in his jaws, and as she fell, he impaled her ribs to the tree.
Blood dribbled out of her mouth and she gagged. Sunstreak might as well already have been dead- her energy was too sapped to struggle. Her vision blurred, and she thought of her four kits back home.
I hate him. I hate him so much. I hate how he kills cats without a second thought. I hate how he laughs. I hate how he smiles, showing all of his teeth. It was more of a sneer to me. I hate him. I won't forgive him. Not ever.
ReplyDeleteSkybranch cowered low to the ground-trying to tune out the sound of cats fighting and gushing blood, she didn't know what to do. She knew the clans wern't mean't to fight.
ReplyDeleteThen she saw it, she saw Bloodstreak and and Sunstreak. Sunstreak- blood trailing from her. Skybranch slowly and stealthily sneaked up to Sunstreak and hissed at Bloodstreak.
She knew she might die, and she had never had a special 'bond' with Sunstreak, but saving someone from her own clan was worth it. She would rather die a million times.
Twilight peered at Dragnwing, only to get smacked across the head. She hit the ground, and from there is were she saw Skybranch, Bloodstreak, and Sunstreak.
ReplyDeleteFeeling a little dizy from being hit on the head a few too many times, Twilight got up and ran towards the three. She jumped into the air, unsheathing her claws, ready to attack Bloodstreak.
Moonbeam peered around from behind the trink of a tree. She had seen two unidentified warriors slip into battle, and could only guess who it was. But she was right. It wasn't RainClan that killed the HiddenClan cats, she realized in horror. I knew it! It's just that nobody beleived in me! They should've listened to...
ReplyDeleteBut there was no time to waste. She knew that Willowstar knew now it was a set-up, and now both Clan's were fighting for they're lives. Quickly, Moonbeam skirted to the highest branch of the big tree and yowled as loud as she could what she had learned.
"IT'S A SET-UP! WE'VE BEEN SET-UP!" she screamed desperately at the writhing cats below. Surely they wouls listen? She would have to wait.
(*trunk* not trink. Sorry.)
Delete(Sorry. Got another mistake. *would* not wouls.)
DeleteSkybranch realized something in that moment.
ReplyDeleteSunstreak had KITS at home. KITS for Starclan's Sake!
Not just 2 or 1 kit. 4 kits! Thats 4 mewling and bawling bodies if their mother got killed, not IF. She probably would, there was a good chance.
"Sunstreak! You kits..What will happen to them. I- I- mean.. What do YOU wish to happen to them?" Skybranch whispered, only loud enough so Sunstreak could hear.
Willowstar hissed as Bloodstreak pounced on the RainClan cat, and killed her ruthlessly. But what was she to do? The paws of despair crashed down on her throat.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly, there seemed to be a waft of warmer air surrounding her, cutting through the winter chill. A sweet and achingly familiar scent drifted over her.
"Stonestep?" she whispered. She fancied she could see her mate's dark pelt and green eyes blink in front of her.
Feeling suddenly surged back into her hind legs, and she leaped to her feet with a barely muffled gasp.
"I give you healing and courage," her dead mate whispered. His mew took on a deeper, more determined tone. "Use it well,"
Even as the spirit disappeared, Willowstar snarled and leaped with claws outstretched towards Bloodstreak.
Bloodpaw whipped around, sensing the two cats leaping at him. He dodged beneath him, lashed his claws out, and stabbed one pawful of bloody claws through each cat's stomach, gouging into their skin as they were airborne.
ReplyDelete---
Sunstreak tried to say through the blood gurgling through her mouth,
"T-take care of them for me...When they're old enough, have Flicker tell them what we went through and who their father is."
---
Stormbreeze rushed Sunstreak while Bloodstreak was distracted, and tore the branch out of her stomach.
"Help me, Skybranch," He said, pressing his paws into the wound. "Find me leaves or webs or pelts, anything that will help me stop the bleeding."
She came back a moment later with a mouthful of large leaves from a nearby bush.
"Okay, stay here and keep the pressure on her wound with the leaves while I go get the herbs I need," He said urgently, rushing to RainClan.
"Ok." Skybranch choked out. Tears filled her eyes as she looked down at Sunstreak.
ReplyDelete"I promise to teach your kits the warrior code and never let them down. I will do as much as I can to protect your kits. Forever, until I go to Starclan." she whispered to the dying cat.
She looked around the tree next to her and found cobwebs. She gently pressed them to the large gash spreading across Sunstreak's stomach/back.
Moonbeam surveyed the scene closely. Willowstar seemed to be fighting with just two legs now. Cats were srambling everywhere fighting or getting cobwebs to stop the bleeding. Half the group of cats from each Clan dead. Bloodstreak and his comrades advancing steadily towards the bleeding cats from either Clan, killing ruthlessly. Should she get help? She didn't know. So she jumped into the battle and just hoped for reinforcements to come.
ReplyDeleteStormbreeze worked frantically, his paws deep in gore. The wound was a hole, not easy to fix. He stuffed it with the cobwebs, and decided that he had to get her out of the danger zone.
ReplyDelete"Skybranch, help me," He said, picking up Sunstreak.
"Not so fast." Growled an approaching Bloodstreak.
He prowled forward. He unexpectedly pounced on Skybranch, causing Stormbreeze to drop Sunstreak. Stormbreeze dragged Skybranch away, and whispered, "Take her as far as you can, I'll distract him."
(guys i gtg i wont be here for a week willow play blood for me)
"Of course." Skybranch meowed with a look of determination on her face. She licked the scratch Bloodpaw had given her on her side, and picked up Sunstreak.
ReplyDeleteShe ran like she had never ran before to the edge of the battle. She didn't stop there. She ran on, she ended up back at Rainclan. She slowly started to walk into the entrance, ear bleeding and side bleeding slightly.
She scrambled in.
"Help. We need help!" she hoarsely shouted.
(Taking this to Rainclan)
(Okay, I will.)
ReplyDeleteAs Willowstar was getting to her paws, she watched as he crept up to a band of RainClan warriors. All were injured, but one - was that Sunstreak? Willowstar wondered - was unconscious, her head lolling and a horrific looking wound bleeding over her pelt. Willowstar fumed in anger as she watched a gray RainClan tom stand bravely up to Bloodstreak, but his legs were shaking in exhaustion.
Willowstar's heart drooped in pity at all the warriors around her; dead, dying, fleeing the battlefield. Her eyes narrowed.
It had been Bloodstreak who had killed the HiddenCLan warriors in the first place.
It was Bloodstreak who had wounded Sunstreak nearly unto death.
It was because of Bloodstreak, the Clans were now in utter chaos.
Baring her teeth in a snarl, Willowstar pounded towards the black cat as fast as she could, and the only thought in her usually controlled mind was to kill this evil cat.
"I have nine lives to lose, and the other cats do not!" she yowled."Including YOU, Bloodstreak-"
She pounced on the black cat's back just as she finished yowling, so the rest of Bloodstreak's name was muffled through her jaws by the black cat's scruff. Managing to pin the squirming savage down, she raised her claws and hissed, swiping at his throat.
The dark sky suddenly flashed a brilliant white, blinding Willowstar, as lightning streaked across the sky. An old, huge oak tree by the edge of the clearing burst into flames and went toppling right into the middle of the battle as thunder rolled its vast drums across the plains, two ringing booms, and rain began to fall. Wails, yowls, screams of terror raked the clearing as cats scrambled out of the way.
Taking advantage of the crazed chaos, Bloodstreak wriggled out of Willowstar's grasp, aiming a fierce blow at her face. Willowstar staggered backwards as blood, her own blood, ran into her eyes and stained her white muzzle, and she stumbled right into the path of the falling tree. She let out one last howl as the thick of the trunk smashed down on her. Her legs snapped like twigs beneath her, a loud, hollow crack resounded through her neck and spine, shock had set in, and yet she felt no pain, only blinding terror that would have shamed any warrior as Willowstar, leader of HiddenClan, was fallen beneath the tree. Everything went white.

(COntinued from last post)
ReplyDeleteBlurred green eyes blinked open, and fluttered confusedly at the strange feeling around her. Willowstar twitched her tail at this, surprised that she could feel again. She hauled herself to her feet and gazed around. It was the Gathering clearing, and everything seemed to be sprinkled in stardust. She felt rather like a kit again as she prodded at the soft grass and relished at its soothing blades. EVerything was so much more peaceful, as if the battle had never happened.
Willowstar stopped dead. The battle! What had happened? WHere was Bloodstreak? She whipped around, and gaped at the sight of Stonestep and SKywhisker sitting right behind her, as calm as you please.
"What happened?" Willowstar demanded. "Where is my Clan?"
"You will return to them soon," Skywhisker meowed, and added, "You have lost your first life, Willowstar,"
Her heart dropped to her paws at this. Willowstar had heard there was a short period of time for the leaders' bodies to heal before they returned to the waking world, but now her paws twitched as she paced the clearing. "I need to get back to them!" she protested. "They need my help!"
"Calm down," Stonestep padded up to her and touched his nose to her ear. "You are waking up,"
Even as she watched, everything began to melt away. Willowstar looked down at herself and noticed she could see the ground through her paws. "I'm fading!" she thought.
Stonestep pressed his nose to Willowstar's forehead, and mewed, "I give you strength to return back to your Clan. Know the difference between right and wrong, Willowfoot,"
Willowstar's legs quivered as she heard her old warrior name being spoken to her, and as she watched, Stonestep was standing back beside Skywhisker, and both gazed at her with loving eyes as she returned to the waking world.
Moonbeam watched as Willowstar lost her first of the nine lives. She guarded her fiercely from Bloodstreak, who was slowly approaching them. Willowstar stood up, healed from the battle wound that killed her and darted back to battle.
ReplyDeleteEaglepaw lashed out at cat after cat, feeling brave and fearless on the outside. On the inside he was more scared than he has ever been before. He would not kill any cat, just wound them. He had sworn to himself he would never become as angry and bloodthirsty as Bloodstreak. Oh- Eaglepaw despised of that cat.
ReplyDeleteHe saw a cat chasing after him, this one looked pretty heavy, but it made up for its load of weight with claws. Sharp as an eagle's talons.. Eaglepaw had a plan. He raced to a nearby tree and climbed up it with ease. This is what his claws were made for. There was tree climbing in his blood. He didn't race up the tree. It looked like him FLYING up the tree to a naked eye.
He leaped up onto the highest branch and watched the battle with sadness. This was all Bloodpaw's fault, not any of the clans. HIS. FAULT.
His fault that so many cats had to die. HIS FAULT that cats had to watch their kits and kin die the most painful death. It was HIS FAULT that this whole battle even happened.
Somebody had to stop him.
Moonbeam followed Willowstar through the battle.
ReplyDelete"There are cats dying out there." She told Willowstar. "What will happen if everybody dies? How would the Clans know? We could get a medecine cat, but the messenger could arrive back to late or the medecine cat will be killed. What'll we do?"
"We'll fight." Willowstar growled. "We'll fight til the very end. Fight til we can beat them all down."
"Or we can have another tactic." Moonbeam pointed out. "Once they're tired, we knock them out. But that would risk a lot of cats' lives. So I sujjest you're battle plan. What do you say?"
Willowstar nodded.
As a wave of cats hit them, Moonbeam and Willowstar fought back to back.
Bloodstreak hissed in pleasure, spotting the small cat perched atop the branch. Slowly he crouched, but there was no hesitation in his movements as he leaped forward, grabbing the small cat with his now-powerful forepaws.
ReplyDelete"So young. He doesn't even fight back," the black cat observed with some disappointment at the feeble struggles of the other cat. Bloodstreak sank his teeth deep into the shoulder of the cat, relishing in the taste of blood.
(Bloodstreak is attacking Eaglepaw.)
Eaglepaw yelped, and screeched, and hissed, and- well, you get the point. He did everything in his power to fight against the cat. His efforts were useless, pretty much. He lashed out at Bloodpaw, but missed.
ReplyDelete'This is what you get for joining the clans right when there is a huge battle and with no battle training what-so-ever.' he thought to himself and sighed.
He fell to the ground in defeat. "PLEASE! I'll do anything you want!! ANYTHING! Just please don't kill me!!" he begged with wide eyes at his attacker.
Fernstar whipped her head around, scanning the field for her warriors, desperate to find a glimmer of hope. There was none. The dull scene was littered with those she loved broken and helpless, fighting for what they loved. She knew full well that this battle was probably the end for her Clan. Few of the warriors were to be seen; some were unrecognizable with masks of blood and matted pelts. She exhaled sharply when someone knocked her aside. She lied in a pool of someone's blood, face stricken with despair and grief. Her body was limp and cold, drained and useless. Her eyes wandered to the spot where she saw her mate Splashwave recklessly slash at another cat, and she could tell that he didn't know if it was a Clanmate, a foe, or another lost one. At this point it didn't matter- no one was distinguishable from the other, and it seemed the only motive to be found was self preservation.
ReplyDeleteFernstar felt cold. Ice was creeping throughout her bones, reaching into her muscles. A black and white cat hovered over her, and she saw the blurry outline of her face.
"Ling-Lingersong?" Asked Fernstar.
"Please! Get up! You have to!"
Fernstar tried to pick herself off the ground, but to no avail. The coldness made her numb, and she looked down at herself. She could hardly see herself, but was shocked but the gathering red pool beneath her.
"You're bleeding to death," Whispered the timid warrior Lingersong.
"I..." Fernstar let her head fall to the ground. The land turned black and white, blurring into a dull gray empty place.
Reedstar sat before Fernstar.
"I can't do this, I wasn't meant to be leader. I can't go back there. RainClan will die in my paws," Fernstar said.
"You have to," Replied Reedstar. "They have no one to lead them. You never appointed a deputy, and Stormbreeze is a medicine cat, not a leader. RainClan won't die in your paws if you appoint a deputy."
The land morphed back into the battle.
Fernstar opened her eyes; her muscles were still numb and she was immobile.
"Stor-"
She choked instantaniasly a black cat with yellow eyes leaped onto her throat and tore at it. She gagged, coughing up blood.
"Any last words?" The feral tom spat.
"Y-yes.." She turned her head, wincing. "Lingersong?"
A black she cat answered,
"Yes?" From where she had been crouched and quivering.
"Stormbreeze... Decide deputy-for me-"
She jolted in shock when the tom tackled her and shredded her.
Quietly she entered into StarClan, where she saw Reedstar still sitting.
"I did the best I could. Can't I appoint them after the battle?"
"That was your last chance," Mewed the former leader, who swished her tail in the direction of the scene. The tom repeatedly lunged, waiting for each time Fernstar awoke.
Fernstar turned away in anguish.
"Welcome to StarClan," Reedstar said grimly.
Bloodstreak stared down at Eaglepaw.
ReplyDelete"You remind me of a kit I knew one time. One that was helpless and weak and abused..." He looked away, and kicked the apprentice away. He saw the two Clans, both devastated.
For a moment, something small and sweet and soft in the back of his mind persisted. Something he hadn't felt in a long time- it was something that had died the moment he left his home clan and never came back to give him second thoughts.
He knew what that something was. It was the moral innocent kit he once was, and had never really gotten over. That kit, Bloodkit, was reminding him of what it felt like to be guilty.
Bloodstreak looked up at his brother, Malicepaw.
He then remembered what it was that had killed the innocence. A flame of anger that pitted his hatred towards his siblings, FlameClan, and then all of the Clans, and would eventually spark and entire war.
These cats deserved what they were getting, and there was no going back now.
---
(Background on prophetical three or else none of my next posts will make sense: They were of two Clans, one living and the other dead. Known as the "Prophetical Three", Moongaze, Silvershadow, and Tigerslash were warriors of HiddenClan and also hosts to three StarClan spirits. When the siblings died as kits, StarClan sent three of their warriors to embody them and give them life. Surprisingly, these cats were fairly quiet and standard within in their Clan, in both actions and physical appearance. They hardly ever heard, saw, or sensed the lives inside of them, and therefore tried to live somewhat normal lives. So, they weren't really considered bigshots or overly impressive within HiddenClan.)
Willowstar yowled when she watched the RainClan leader go down. Bounding swiftly over to Fernstar, she watched the final light leave the leader's eyes as her spirit went to join StarClan.
ReplyDelete"Its all wrong!" Willowstar wailed out loud. "It wasn't supposed to be like this!" She stumbled backwards a few paces, and sheathed her claws. She wasn't touching another cat that night.
Eaglepaw ran away to clean his wounds. They were not as deep as you would think, so he walked back to the clearing. The battle was slowly, very slowly, dying down.
ReplyDeleteHe walked over to WillowStar and whispered, "What will happen to the clans now?"
His whisper was filled with sorrow and depression. He did not know these cats for long, but they had already came to be family, in his heart. Therefore, his heart felt like it was broken in two.
"The clans are broken. Just like the bones in these cats bodies. Broke. We need a miracle to save us now." he added.
(Rainclan)
ReplyDeleteSkybranch dropped Sunstreak's body, seeing no one was there to tend to her, and got some herbs. She knew very little about herbs, but that was all she had.
She attempted to fix the golden she-cat up, wishing all of Starclan's luck to go with her.
After, she raced into battle again, to see that it was slowly dying down.
(Battle)
She also saw one thing. Blood. Blood. And more blood. EVERYWHERE. It was a massacre, a full blown massacre.
She saw Willowstar and a small brown and white apprentice she did not recognize with blood dripping slightly down his chin and side.
She walked up slowly, knowing this was her first and likely, only option.
"Do you know where Fernstar is?" she meowed to Willowstar, pulling on her face as much confidence as she could.
"Dead," Willowstar responded flatly, seeing the Clans slowly start to fade back into order. She bounded back into position. "HiddenClan, to me!" she yowled. "Do not give in to fear!"
ReplyDelete"Oh." Skybranch meowed. She swallowed hard and backed away, stunned.
ReplyDelete'Who will be next leader? What will happen?'
Those questions and millions more ran through her head as she raced away.
"I will fight no more today." she meowed to herself grimly and looked at her reflection in the water.
"I did not kill any cat, and I do not plan to. Not now, not ever."
Water droplets dripped off the tree above her, causing her reflection to become blurry.
She looked at her twin once more in the water.
"What have the clans become because of him?" she whispered.
"It's not like I ever would!" Moonbeam yowled above the battle as she continued to fight back-to-back with Willowstar. She surveyed the scene closely. Cats were lying in the roots of trees, badly wounded or dead. The rest of the cats alive had to stop this. For the sake of the Clans and all the cats that had died to StarClan. They had to protect the Clans and had to stop the attacking cats. Moonbeam lunged at every foul pelt in reach and bit, clawed, nipped all she could. They were still outnumbered, but the number of Dark Forest cats slowly decreasedm
ReplyDeleteBloodstreak sat quietly watching the three cats that entered the territory.
ReplyDelete"Where have you been? We've needed back up for a long time!" A white HiddenClan she cat shouted to them.
Simultaneously the three she cats looked sharply down at her. Instead of eyes though, a bright silver glow was illuminating.
"Wha...?"
Slowly the pelts of the three cats crumpled and disintegrated into dust, leaving only beings of glowing light, roughly formed into the shapes of cats. Pale wisps of mist-like aura trailed aimlessly off of their bodies, disappearing into the atmosphere. Their essence radiated a warm sense of comfort and rejuvenation.
"We are StarClan," Murmured one, who's pelt vaguely bore the markings of a tortoisehell. One of her hind legs was slightly lifted above the earth, as if painful to put pressure on.
"It's Skywhisker!" Someone said in the momentary astonishment.
"It is," She replied, and continued, "And Reedstar and Firesong."
"How-Why are you here?"
Reedstar answered this time. "We're here because Bloodpaw has affected each of us in a significant way, and were therefore chosen to..." She looked up at him. "Be of assistance to the Clans."
He sneered at them. "I've ruined four Clans, two of which are now virtually nonexistent(FlameClan and DuskClan). What makes you think I will submit now?" His words ended in a snarl, and his icy eyes blazed with animosity.
Willowstar's eyes widened in disbelief at the sight of her old Clanmate. Skywhisker was now barely a flicker of the strong spirit she had been in life. "The powers of Bloodstreak and the Dark Forest have been affecting StarClan, as well," she realized.
ReplyDeleteThe StarClan cats had come to help, but for some reason Willowstar wasn't assured. The cats of the Clans needed anything just short of a miracle in order to win this battle. Willowstar gritted her teeth and growled as menacingly as she could at Bloodstreak, exhausted as she was.
Moonbeam watched as the StarClan cats approached them slowly. What were they going to do? Where was the prophesized three? Two Clans were already dead, thanks to no help. What would happen if all the Clans wiped out? She couldn't even guess what was going to happen. Sure, Skywhisker and some other cats were there, but what's supposed to happen then? Only emptiness filled Moonbeam. This was her first battle. Never did she have to fight in her lifetime. But now she had to, for the sake of the Clans.
ReplyDeleteWillowstar bared her teeth and unsheathed her claws. If she had to die the rest of her eight lives over and over in order to save her Clan, so be it.
ReplyDeleteHer eyes narrowed at Bloodstreak. "What is he waiting for?" she muttered.
Moonbeam watched as Willowstar slid into attack position. Why is Bloodstreak not attacking? she thought as he stood like a still statue.
ReplyDelete(I haven't been here in a while, and I'm not even going to try to figure out everything I missed.)
ReplyDeleteDragonwing got up and turned her head. Bloodstreak wasn't attacking. Was he waiting for Willowstar to make the first move? 'That wouldn't be very helpful.' Dragonwing thought. A little, but knowing Bloodstreak he had a better advantouge in mind.
She backed into the trees, letting herself disappeare into the shadows. Then she ran along , getting closer to Bloodstreak, but to get close enough to attack him, she'd have to leave the plants, and then most likely be noticed. So Dragonwing waited.
Moonbeam slid behind the trees and slinked quietly in the shadows, ready to help as back-up if needed. Also to see what was going on with the other cats. She crouched behind a large tree, waiting for Bloodstreak to make his move.
ReplyDeleteBloodstreak stared at these warriors, trying to figure out who they were. He knew the second two; he'd sent Flicker to kill Reedstar, and Firesong was the first cat he killed ever, but the other one he had never heard of.
ReplyDeleteHe winced as somone's paws planted into his back hard and shoved him forward. Taking advantage of it, he rolled forward throwing them off in front of him.
There was Firesong, teeth bared and starry fur bristling. Out of the corner of his eye, Bloodstreak saw "Skywhisker" prowling closer. He sidestepped, deducing her move right as she leaped. Reedstar, making no attempt at stealth, lunged straight for him. Firesong did the same when he saw what she was doing. Bloodstreak quickly ran beneath the two cats and swiped their legs beneath them, only to run into Skywhisker. She slashed immediately, and he instinctively ducked. He realized that at this rate, no attacks had been landed on either side, only defense. He had to play it up.
---
Redsky fought a gray tom from RainClan, unsure of who the enemy was anymore. The tom unexpectedly tore his claws right above her head, shredding her ears. She hissed and dropped onto four legs, and she swept a front paw underneath his hind legs. The tom crashed to the ground, and a reddish she cat rushed to his aid.
"Shaleclaw!" She exclaimed, then looked up to see who had done this. Her golden eyes blazed in rage when she saw Redsky. The two she cats battled as Shaleclaw got to his paws, only to be bowled over by another tom.
"It's about time, Desertsand." Hissed Redsky through clenched teeth. Shaleclaw rolled over, flipping the tom onto the ground, and buried his teeth in Desertsand's neck.
---
Malicepaw's eyes widened when he saw his brother Bloodstreak fighting the StarClan warriors. No one seemed to be winning, it was just continual dodging.
He glanced around, and inhaled sharply when he saw a cluster of four cats brawling.
"It couldn't be," He thought. He noted their fur color and it seemed to be exactly the same as... No!
Malicepaw rushed in and knocked Shaleclaw off of Desertsand.
"Stop!" He hissed loudly, and the four cats froze. They all slowly looked at him, their eyes quizzical.
"Do you know... Who your parents are?"
"What?!" Redsky said, shocked, while Shaleclaw stumbled backwards and the other two stared.
"What does that... have to do with anything?" Shaleclaw growled slowly, glaring at Malicepaw and his opponents.
"Come with me," Mewed Malicepaw, "I know who your parents are."
---
Reedstar disappeared, hoping the other two would understand. Apparently they did, because a moment later, all three reappeared hidden a few foxlengths away.
"This will never work," Reedstar said, concerned. "Our fighting won't do anything. We may have to resort to-"
"No." Growled Firesong. "That's been absolutely forbidden ever since we did it to Rosethorn. It's unjust."
"An unjust death for an unjust soul, then. It's the only way," Skywhisker replied, her voice determined.
Willowstar skidded to a stop across the rain-soaked clearing. Panting, she glanced around wildly, assessing the situation.
ReplyDeleteHowever, normal battle tactics wouldn't work at all in this situation. There were practically piles and piles of dead cats sprawled across the clearing, the puddles stained red by the darkening blood. Willowstars eyes widened when she noticed the StarClan warriors still fighting Bloodpaw, and without a second thought she plunged back into the fray, determined to save whatever was left of her Clan.
As her paws stumbled and slipped across the slick grass, Willowstar could feel hours and hours of pain, exhaustion and toil building up against her, until her shoulders were weighed down by burden and she herself was practically dragging her paws across the clearing. The last remnants of stubborn, useless hope whispered away from her heart, and she dropped her mask, letting for the first time, pure hopelessness wash over her face.
"Its all wrong," Willowstar whispered before leaping towards Bloodstreak. "All wrong."
Bloodtsreak snarled angrily when the warriors disappeared. He turned, but they were gone. He lifted his nose to the air, sensing something new.
ReplyDeleteHis eyes narrowed into a deathly glare when he saw the one cat he'd never been able to kill, no matter the trap or circumstance. She was able to dodge all of his obstacles, flee every assassin, outrun and outsmart everytrail.
His sister.
---
Camopaw froze, gazing at the brother who'd tracked her for over a year, trying to catch her in his claws like all the other prey that had fallen to him.
She's heard that he'd named himself Bloodstreak. She was disgusted by his contempt; every other FlameClan apprentice should have been made a warrior a long time ago, but thanks to the wildfire and the terror he had coursed through the Clan, no warriors had been made. Everyone who should have been an apprentice or warrior by now was still their old rank. And here he was, acting like he deserved this name by being an honorable warrior.
His cold blue eyes seemed to read all of this in, and Camopaw saw a smile dance over his face.
"Still a 'paw?" He asked mockingly. She flinched at his voice. Last time she had heard him, he was a whimpering kit, tormented by Malicekit and herself. No self confidence, no self defense. Now his voice said it all: he knew who he was, what he could do, and could back it up by unsheathing his ruthless claws and baring his bloodstained fangs.
"I might be, but my fighting is equivalent to a seasoned warrior," Camopaw growled in defense. This was partially true; her fighting wasn't necessarily that of a warrior's, because a warrior was trained by a someone more experienced than himself. Instead, she'd been trained and sharpened by the savage claws of self survival and need.
"I'll be the judge of that," Bloodstreak replied, padding towards her, unsheathing his claws.
Camopaw crouched to the ground in a fighting position, welcoming the familiarity. She was about to circle her brother when he unexpectedly pounced and knocked her onto the ground.
"Not fair," She thought to herself. He pinned her down and said,
"That was easy,"
A wave of shock washed over her. That was what she had declared numerous times as a kit when she would knock him to the ground and lightly clasp her jaws around his throat.
She cringed as he took the moment to rake his claws down her belly several times. The white fur on her chest turned red while he clawed it out, getting to the skin.
Camopaw's mind went blank, and she mentally scrambled to figure out what to do. It came to her in a rush, and she struggled to get her hind feet into place. Right when she thought she couldn't take it, she kicked hard, throwing him off of her. She picked herself up, feeling the blood drip from her stomach.
She thought he was coming to finish it, but when she looked up, three whitish silver warriors encircled him.
Willowstar skidded to a stop and stared, nearly tripping over Camopaw. Bloodpaw was surrounded by three large figures, whom seemingly glowed in the starlight. The small black cat himself was flattened against the ground, lips pulled back in an outdrawn hiss, though fear now sparked through his ice-blue eyes.
ReplyDeleteAll Willowstar could do was watch and wait.
Bloodstreak backed up, startled. The clearing seemed to be doused in starry silver- everything shimmered and sparkled. Bodies of dead cats lied on the ground, and different colored auras hovered over the corpse, as if trying to break away from it's bindings.
ReplyDeleteHe forced himself to pay attention and not to be distracted by the scene. The three StarClan warriors were standing around him, staring as if trying to find something unseen.
"You've caused much pain," One of them speculated.
"And rightfully so," Bloodstreak spat.
No one replied. Instead, Skywhisker said, "You have to repay the lives you've destroyed."
"Just the opposite," He spat. "They are paying for my suffering- mine and everyone like me."
"Like you?" Asked Reedstar.
"Everyone who's been abused, mistreated, underestimated, misunderstood, or unaccepted by the Clans. The Clans are hypocrites- they think everyone outside of the warrior code is bad or unfit, so they label them. Rogues, loners, kittypets."
"But you were a part of the Clans, so you were within the code. No one labeled you," Firesong said, puzzled.
"Didn't they? Hypocrisy is almost worse within the Clans! I was the runt of the litter, and no one thought I would be strong enough to make it. Even my siblings rejected me."
"So why are you making others pay for your misfortunes?!" Reedstar hissed, thinking of her kits.
"Because if they continue on, at some point they'll become just like the rest of you, scorning anyone not good enough for their standards. It'd be better to just strip the Clans of their pride and prove to them that they aren't the only variables in the forest."
The three cats exchanged a glance and Skywhisker said, "Because you are of the Clans and have wreaked this chaos, we have to... rid you of the Clans."
"You plan to kill me?" Bloodstreak asked coldly. He looked down, tugging at his feet. They wouldn't lift.
He raised his head, resentment burning in his eyes. "I'm not OF the Clans, and you inequitably kill me anyway." A smirk of triumph lit his face. "This is exactly what I mean. The Clans are unjust and one sided." He felt the paralysis creep through his body- it traveled from his paws, up his legs, into his muscles.
"You know what this will show?" He growled at the silent warriors, unable to move forward. "What the Clans are really made of. Lying, cheating, hypocritical cowards." He bared his teeth in disgust, a last act of defiance as the paralysis moved into his neck, ears, and face.
Skywhisker leaned forward, and touched her nose to his.
First his life flashed before him- kithood, where his siblings thrashed him about and pushed him around. Then early apprenticesip- Ashstripes trying to be encouraging and show him the fighting maneuvers.
Then the day he left the Clan that didn't care to find someone that did. The rest was quick- it was all the same
Then the feeling in Bloodstreak's body seemed to surge out of him, and the starry forest turned fuzzy. He fell limp, numbness seeping in.
He fought the darkness that tried to take over, but it was a losing battle. He wasn't strong enough to fight off this kind of death- no one was. He exhaled slowly, closing his icy eyes to let the coldness take over once again.
(I have to post this one.)
ReplyDelete"NOW BLOODSTREAKS LYING ON THE COLD HARD GROUND! OH, OHHH, MURDER-ER-ER!"
LOL.
(LOL. XD I suppose the battle is finally over. Thanks to Wolfstar for making the best finale, and after many hard weeks, Bloodstreak is dead in our RP.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the ending - Wolfstar planned it.)
So..
ReplyDeleteNow Skybranch is leader of RainClan and she has Sunstreak's kits.. (If Sunstreak is dead.)
(How did that have to do with the Three special cats?)
ReplyDeleteAs Moonbeam watched Bloodstreak crumble away, she closed her eyes and thought back to her past when she was a kit. She was treated fairly as a kit. But when she became an apprentice.... it changed. Apprentices and warriors alike would scorn her because of her size. Only Willowstar brought her back up. She learned better, trained better. Became a warrior before the other apprentices. All that training... for this one fight. And now..... it was over.
"It's time." Willowstar told her wounded Clan. "It's time to go home."
(Sunstreak is dead. The prophetical 3 were hosts of those starclan warriors, and the only thing keeping them alive was the spirits. so when the sc warriors left them they died and it was actually the 3 spirits that killed bloodstreak )
ReplyDeleteStormbreeze found Skybranch. "I need to talk to you," He said urgently. "We have no leader or deputy. I think-"
"You have to be the next leader of RainClan," Reedstar mewed, walking through the trees towards them. No one else seemed to see her.
"I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of this choice. The new leader of RainClan is Skykbranch."
(Makes sense. Thanks!)
ReplyDeleteI suppose all the clans ARE dead..
ReplyDeleteI don't think so...
